SYMPHONY X: New Album To Be Mixed In Early March

February 22, 2007

Progressive metal act SYMPHONY X is continuing work on its follow-up to 2002's "The Odyssey", entitled "Paradise Lost", tentatively due in early 2007. The following update has been issued by the group's official webmaster:

"Spoke to both [guitarist Michael James Romeo] and Russ [Allen, vocals] for a while today, and things are moving right along! Michael James Romeo is finishing up a few solos and tightening up some of the orchestral/choral parts, and the CD will be sent off to be mixed in early March. Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden) [OPETH, SOILWORK, AMON AMARTH] will be doing the honors, and the mixing should be done by the end of March. A potential release date as well as other info like the track listing and such will be available once the CD is mixed, so stay tuned for more info on that."

SYMPHONY X has lined up the following dates:

May 25 - B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York, NY
Jun. 03 - Gods of Metal Festival - Milano, Italy
Jun. 6-9 - Sweden Rock Festival - Sölvesborg, Sweden

SYMPHONY X was forced to cancel a couple of European festival appearances last summer after Michael LePond was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease (an inflammatory bowel disorder). He has since undergone surgery and has been released from the hospital.
